North Bergen Housing Authority Donates Household Items for Ukrainian Refugees

NORTH BERGEN, NJ –  The North Bergen Housing Authority has partnered with North Bergen Renaissance Corp. to donate thousands of dollars’ worth of essential household items to Ukrainian refugees in Europe. The North Bergen Housing Authority under the leadership of Executive Director Gerald Sanzari has built partnerships with local warehouse distributors who periodically donate large quantities of sundry and household items for needy persons.

“The Township of North Bergen stands with the brave Ukrainian refugees who have been forced to flee their homes without many essential items,” said Mayor Nicholas Sacco. “I thank Gerry and the entire staff of our housing authority for adding to the relief drive being sponsored by North Bergen and Secaucus.”

In 2021 these private donors were especially generous, giving NBHA a large quantity of items. Therefore, considering the current humanitarian aid crisis unfolding in Eastern Europe, Mr. Sanzari and his staff decided to donate goods to the relief drive being sponsored by North Bergen Mayor Nick Sacco and Secaucus Mayor Michael Gonnelli.

“I can’t think of a better way to make use of these donated products at this time,” said NBHA Executive Director Gerald Sanzari. “I am also optimistic that donations of this kind will continue to be made to the NBHA through the relationships I have developed, enabling us to help the needy within our own community and beyond.”
