North Bergen Mayor Nicholas Sacco and NB CARES Deliver Assorted Candies, Stuffed Animals and Toys to North Bergen Housing Authority Residents

Residents of the North Bergen Housing Authority were delivered assorted candies, stuffed animals and toys by Mayor Sacco and NB CARES as residents deal with the COVID-19 crisis. The items were donated by the North Bergen Walmart and were distributed on Tuesday. NBHA staff helped with the bagging and distribution of the candy as well.

“I would like to thank Walmart, Mayor Sacco, NBHA staff and Aimee Focaraccio, of NB Cares for getting this candy to our residents during these challenging times,” said NBHA Executive Director Gerald Sanzari. “From the beginning of this crisis, our community has stepped up in a big way for our residents and we are extremely grateful. We will get through this together by continuing to do everything we can to make this easier for our tenants.”

“Thank you to the North Bergen Walmart, NB CARES and the community at large for everything that you have done to help our NBHA residents,” said North Bergen Mayor Nicholas Sacco. “It was a great joy to be able to brighten up the day of our seniors by delivering them these donated items and see firsthand how they are dealing with this crisis. Thanks to the outstanding staff at the NBHA, our residents are being cared for in a big way.”
